Highly recommend The Fat Dog to anyone looking for fantastic food, service and overall great vibe. Tyler started off the afternoon with amazing service and makes you feel right at home. Brittany then came in and reaffirmed what was already a great experience. I encourage anyone in the North Hollywood area to make this place their regular hangout.

I honestly wasn't expecting much, but the service is great, and the food is even better! My brother and his wife are vegetarians, so they got The Burger - impossible burger substitute, my fiancé got The Burger cooked rare with fries and I got the Short-rib French-dip. The impossible burger smelled like a real burger and actually tasted pretty decent! Still...there's no substitute for real beef. My fiancé,s burger was cooked a proper rare...most places will over cook it, but well done to the chef!! My french dip was great! The sourdough they had the short rip on was toasted perfectly and the au jus was just right and not too salty! Plently of TV's to watch the Dodger's beat the shit out of the wack ass Asstros, and a very chill environment. It got fairly packed on a Friday evening around 7pm, but there's plenty of seating inside and out, so it didn't seam like people waited for too long. Will definitely be back!

As a dedicated foodie and dog lover, The Fat Dog in North Hollywood is an absolute gem in my neighborhood. I often bring my furry companion, Crouton, along for the experience. For brunch, the short rib hash is a must-try. How do they manage to keep the short rib so juicy and tender while incorporating those perfectly crispy bits? Every bite is a delight, and I could easily devour another plate because it's that irresistible. The new misters on the patio are a fantastic addition, especially during the summer heat, making outdoor dining a pleasure. The staff at The Fat Dog are wonderful with Crouton, always providing him with a water dish and often remembering his name, which adds a lovely personal touch to our visits. When it comes to dinner, the fish and chips are my go-to. Although it comes with traditional thick-cut fries, I prefer the thinner fries served with their steak frites. I often substitute these, despite it being a bit unconventional. Don't forget to ask for the garlic aioli for dipping--it's incredible! The only area for improvement would be the cocktail and wine lists, which could use an update to match the excellence of their food offerings.

I was with a few friends and we decided to explore the area. We came up on The Fat Dog and wanted to try it out. Very happy we did! I ordered: Quinoa Bowl (Baby Arugula, Spinach, Cucumber, Bell Pepper, Tomato, Garbanzo Beans, Red Onion, Feta, Sherry Vinaigrette, Fried Egg.) I got it without the egg but it was a huge portion. Could have totally shared it. I do wish it was like a few dollar less but c'est la vie. The others in my group got: -The Burger (Ground Sirloin, Caramelized Onions, Manchego, Baby Arugula, Gluten-Free Bub) -Buffalo Chicken Wrap (Fried Chicken Breast, Tomato, Romaine, Cheddar, Sambal Aioli, Buffalo Sauce) -Rainbow Fries (French Fries/Sweet Potato Fries) I was very appreciate of the service as everyone came to check on us and that they all worked as a team. Even more so, I was happy they used the portable ordering devices to make it easier for payments. I will be back and excited to try something else, maybe even a dessert.
